Digesting Oslo’s new vegan app with Sally Renshaw

I was interviewed by Hja magazine about veganism and vegan Oslo.

'It’s just to make life easier. I know it can be daunting to go vegan, and some people may think, ‘I can’t be bothered putting the effort into changing my life so much that I have to think about what I eat so thoroughly every time I go out – it’s a ball ache…’ If I can make people’s lives easier when they’re trying to do that, then that’s just good.

Another thing is that I don’t want to be a preachy vegan with this app—I just want it to be a helpful resource. Something people can use. I don’t want to be putting up pictures of animals all fucked up with their skin hanging off and telling people they’re shitheads for eating meat, because I don’t believe that’s a good way to approach veganism. I think the best way to approach it is to talk about the benefits of avoiding animal products and how to make it easier for people to do that.'
