Vegan Meetup

  • All over Norway

On the first sunday of every month the norwegian vegan society (Norsk Vegansamfunn) host vegan meet ups all over the country. We attend them sometimes too, as its really nice to catch up with familiar faces, and meet new people who are curious about going vegan. Previous meetups have been held in Sandnes, Stord, Bergen, Ås, Moss, Grenland, Oslo, Trondheim and one is about to start up in Kristiansand.

It's so much easier to go and stay vegan when you know a few helpful and friendly vegans who you can talk to about vegan stuff!

  • You don't have to be vegan to come along.
  • The meetups are usually held at a vegan friendly place where people can get some food or something to drink.
  • If you would like to organise an NVS vegan meetup in your city, just send them a message on facebook.

  • Green Food Fest

We are so excited to go along to Jessheims first vegan festival. Green Food Fest will be a festival for everyone who is familiar with, or is curious about a plant-based lifestyle, for people who care about animal rights and for those who want to preserve the environment.
Their plan is to have a festival that is inclusive, inspiring and shows everyone how to live without animal products in everyday life.

So far their confirmed speakers include James McAspey, Carina Hultin Dahlman, Mari Hult (Vegetarbloggen), Mia Frogner (Green Bonanza), and Kumanga Andrahennadi. There will be a mindfulness workshop, an exercise class, a childrens play area, and a food court.

  • DOGA Norsk design og arkitektursenter

Oslo Vegetarian Festival is often the event of the year for most of the vegans living in Norway. People come from all over the country for a weekend filled with the best things the veggie world has to offer! Taste food from Norway's best vegan chefs, learn to create new dishes in cooking classes and listen to talks by inspiring people who are doing great things for animals, our health and the environment. This year they will also have speed-dating, where you can meet other single plant eaters! Ooh la la! We hope to do something fun at the festival this year as we did for the past two years.

Oslo Restaurant Day - Vegan Ramen and more!

So far this is what we know of the vegan offerings on this particular restaurant day in Oslo:

Vegan Ramen

Hosted by Tanpopo Oslo Ramen and The Core

'Ramen is back for the next Oslo Restaurant Day! We´ve been working with Japanese suppliers and patiently testing in the kitchen the last months to create what we feel is authentic Japanese-style ramen (with a vegan alternative:)). Not packet. Not from frozen.

Joining the Tanpopo Ramen team we´re honored to have Chef Tim (Nobu in London, former Head Chef at Sabaki and Nikay).

For this pop-up we present SHOYU RAMEN (actual photo of our broth cooking above on left), and our VEGAN TONKOTSU-STYLE RAMEN (pictured on right).

We open at noon and until we sell out.

いらっしゃいませ ! :)'
